Tom Haines founded his company in 2002, after many years in the construction industry. Haines Construction has now grown to become one of the most respected companies in the area. Tom is one of the few professionals in Richmond to achieve designation as a Certified Remodeler (CR) and a Universal Design Certified Remodeler (UDCR) from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, and has also received Lead Certification from the EPA. Tom is active in NARI, and is a past President of the Central Virginia Chapter. Haines Construction is a registered participant in the EarthCraft program, a certification indicating use of ecologically friendly building practices and materials. Haines Construction is also committed to using EnergyStar approved building practices.
Haines Construction is the winner of three 2013 COTY (Contractor of the Year) awards, two 2017 COTY awards from the Central Virginia chapter of NARI, the 2020 NARI President’s Award, and three 2021 PRO Central Virginia COTY Grand Prize Awards (Entire House, Residential Historic Remodel, and Residential Exterior Specialty).
